Canaton® D100

Canaton® D100 is a hemp insulation board for external insulation systems. Composed of Italian hemp fibres thermofixed three-dimensionally with a 13% polyester fibre, free of harmful additives and pollutants, recyclable and environmentally friendly product (1 kg of hemp fibre removes 3.8 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis). Applicable on solid surface masonry or wooden substrates.
Material highly breathable and moisture-resistant, In the event of accidental soaking, it retains its characteristics once dry. Cutting can be easily performed using a circular saw, manual or table saw, or multifunctional saws. Little dust is produced during processing; contact and inhalation of fibres does not cause skin and respiratory tract irritation. Material naturally unassailable by insects and rodents, due to the absence of protein substances and the bitter taste of hemp fibres, mould-resistant and completely recyclable. Standard thicknesses 60/80/100 mm, thicknesses 20/40/120/140/160/180/200 mm for full loads available on request.

In June 2021 Canaton® D100 passed the verification of compliance with the “Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for the award of design and construction services for the new construction, renovation and maintenance of public buildings”, as contains a higher percentage of recycled polyester fibres than the minimum required quantity by regulation.
